“Stylit” – Project

Project – description

Since the year 2001 the 'stylit'-project presents commonplace fellows in the public of an urban environment. Realistic sculptures are representing various members of our modern society placed on top of advertisement pillars.

Seperated from their trivial situations and at the same time lifted on the pedestals of advertisement pillars people are again becoming visible as individuals. On the other hand they are refering to certain social groups as for instance children, businessmen, strangers, mothers or homeless people.

Meanwhile eight sculptures are located mainly in the center of Düsseldorf. Additional sculptures picturing the motifs of a bride, an adolescent, a child and a homeless or beggar are in hand or projected. As a work in progress the Stylit-Sculpture-Project is to be extended in the future.
